وتفيد هـذه المبـادرة مـن مشـروع نظمته مؤسسة البيئة والتنمية في منطقة الكاريبي (ENDA-CARIBE) وفريق المتخصصين في النباتات الطبية التابع للاتحاد الدولي لحفظ الطبيعة، بمساعدة من برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة، لحماية التنوع البيئي ودمج المعرفة التقليدية بالدراسات الطبية في سياسة الرعاية الصحية الأساسية الوطنية في منطقة البحر الكاريبي وأمريكا الوسطى.

Feeding into this initiative is a project developed by Environment and Development in the Caribbean (ENDA-CARIBE) and the Medicinal Plants Specialist Group of IUCN with the assistance of UNEP on the conservation of biological diversity and the integration of traditional knowledge on medicinal plants in national primary health care policy in the Caribbean and Central America.

Participant à cette initiative est un projet mis sur pied par ENDA-CARIBE (Environment and Development in the Caribbean) et le Groupe des spécialistes des plantes médicinales de l'UICN avec l'assistance du PNUE sur la conservation de la diversité biologique et l'intégration des connaissances traditionnelles concernant les plantes médicinales dans les politiques nationales en matière de soins de santé primaires dans les Caraïbes et en Amérique centrale.

Осуществлению этой инициативы будет способствовать проект, разработанный организацией "Окружающая среда и развитие в Карибском бассейне" (ЭНДА-КАРИБЕ) и Группой специалистов по медицинским растениям МСОП при содействии ЮНЕП, цель которого заключается в сохранении биологического разнообразия и консолидации традиционных знаний о медицинских растениях и национальной политики в области первичной медико-санитарной помощи в странах Карибского бассейна и Центральной Америки.
