وتم تنظيم مؤتمر ”جبال الألب للجيل المقبل - من مرحلة التوقعات إلى مرحلة العمل“ (كرانجسكاغورا، سلوفينيا، من 22 إلى 25 أيلول/سبتمبر 2004) بالاشتراك بين أربع منظمات معنية بجبال الألب (اللجنة العلمية الدولية للبحوث في جبال الألب واللجنة الدولية لحماية جبال الألب وتحالف شبكة البلديات في جبال الألب وشبكة المناطق المحمية في جبال الألب) للإجابة على السؤال التالي: ”كيف وفي أي حالة سوف نترك جبال الألب لأطفالنا؟“

“The Alps of the next generation — from forecast to action” (Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, from 22 to 25 September 2004), jointly organized by four Alpine organizations (the International Scientific Committee for Alpine Research, the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps, the municipality network alliance in the Alps and the Network of Alpine Protected Areas) had the task of answering the question: “How, and in what state, will we leave the Alps to our children?”

La conferencia, titulada “Los Alpes de la próxima generación, del pronóstico a la acción”, celebrada en Kranjska Gora (Eslovenia) del 22 al 25 de septiembre de 2004, y organizada conjuntamente por cuatro organizaciones alpinas (el Comité Científico Internacional de Investigación en los Alpes, la Comisión internacional para la protección de los Alpes, la Alianza de redes de municipios de los Alpes y la Red Alpina de Espacios Protegidos), tenía por fin dar respuesta a la pregunta: “¿Cómo y en qué estado heredarán los Alpes nuestros hijos?”.

Cette conférence, qui était intitulée « Les Alpes de la prochaine génération – de la prévision à l’action » [Kranjska Gora (Slovanie)] 22-25 septembre 2004, et était organisée par quatre organisations alpines (le Comité scientifique international Recherche alpine, la Commission internationale pour la protection des Alpes, le réseau Municipalités de l’Alliance dans les Alpes et le Réseau alpin des espaces protégés), devait permettre de répondre à la question : « Quelles Alpes laisserons-nous à nos enfants? ».

Эта конференция, озаглавленная «Альпы нового поколения — от прогнозов к действиям» (Краньска Гора, Словения, 22–25 сентября 2004 года), была совместно организована четырьмя альпийскими организациями (Международным научным комитетом по исследованию Альп, Международной комиссией по вопросам защиты Альп, Объединением сетей муниципальных органов в Альпах и Сетью альпийских заповедников) и должна была дать ответ на вопрос: «В каком виде и состоянии мы оставим Альпы нашим детям?».
