(7)Gemäß der Haushaltsordnung, der Verordnung (EU, Euratom) Nr. 883/2013 des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates ( 18 ), der Verordnung (Euratom, EG) Nr. 2988/95 des Rates ( 19 ), der Verordnung (Euratom, EG) Nr. 2185/96 des Rates ( 20 ) und der Verordnung (EU) 2017/1939 des Rates ( 21 ) sollen die finanziellen Interessen der Union geschützt werden, indem verhältnismäßige Maßnahmen unter anderem zur Prävention, Aufdeckung, Behebung und Untersuchung von Unregelmäßigkeiten und Betrug, zur Einziehung entgangener, rechtsgrundlos gezahlter oder nicht widmungsgemäß verwendeter Mittel und gegebenenfalls verwaltungsrechtliche Sanktionen ergriffen werden.

(7)In accordance with the Financial Regulation, Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 883/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 18 ), Council Regulations (Euratom, EC) No 2988/95 ( 19 ), Regulation (Euratom, EC) No 2185/96 ( 20 ) and Regulation (EU) 2017/1939 ( 21 ), the financial interests of the Union are to be protected through proportionate measures, including the prevention, detection, correction and investigation of irregularities and fraud, the recovery of funds lost, wrongly paid or incorrectly used and, where appropriate, the imposition of administrative sanctions.

(7)Conformément au règlement financier, au règlement (UE, Euratom) no 883/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil( 18 ), au règlement (Euratom, CE) no 2988/95 du Conseil( 19 ), au règlement (Euratom, CE) no 2185/96( 20 ) et au règlement (UE) 2017/1939( 21 ), les intérêts financiers de l’Union doivent être protégés par des mesures proportionnées, dont la prévention, la détection et la correction des irrégularités et de la fraude et les enquêtes à leur sujet, le recouvrement des fonds perdus, indûment versés ou mal employés et, le cas échéant, l’imposition de sanctions administratives.
