In Aizu War , he brought a dazzling victory by defeating the New government army led by Taisuke ITAGAKI , and on October 7 , 1868 , informed that Aizu Wakamatsu Castle was surrounded by the enemy , he took such a stupefying strategy as to let their reinforcements enter the castle with performers playing Higan-jishi , a traditional performing art of Aizu Region , put in the head of the procession .

会津 戦争 で は 板垣 退助 率い る 新 政府 軍 を 破 る と い う 金星 を 挙げ る が 、 8 月 22 日 _ ( 旧暦 ) ( 1868 年 10 月 7 日 ) に 会津 若松 城 が 包囲 さ れ て い る こと を 知 り 、 会津 地方 の 伝統 芸能 で あ る 彼岸 獅子 を 先頭 で 演 じ させ て 加勢 を 入城 さ せ る と い う 離れ業 を 演 じ た 。
