It is the first bastion built in the city and its special feature is the canvas of the wall that connects with the bastion of “La Cruz”. The door of Santo Domingo “without vaults bombproof” is placed there; it was built during the refurbishes of Juan Herrera engineer and Sotomayor.

Es el primer baluarte que se edifica en la ciudad y tiene particularidad de que el lienzo de la muralla que lo comunica con el baluarte de “La Cruz” está situada la puerta de Santo Domingo “sin bóvedas a prueba de bomba”, que fue construida durante las reformas realizadas por el ingeniero Juan Herrera y Sotomayor.
