Provided is a composition for use in the oral cavity, in which strange taste originating from a cationic disinfectant is suppressed and the natural flavor of a preparation is prominent, the composition characterized by containing (A) a cationic disinfectant, (B) a C5-10 alkanediol, and (C) 3-l-menthoxypropane-1,2-diol and/or N-substituted-p-menthane-3-carboxamide, the content of component (B) being 0.1% by mass to less than 5% by mass.
