وتُبلغ محكمة الشعب المدعى عليه، في غضون ثلاثة أيام من الانتهاء من فحص دعوى للإدعاء العام، بحقه في أن يعهد إلى محام بالدفاع عنه وبأنه يجوز له، في حال تعرضه لأي صعوبات اقتصادية، التقدم بطلب إلى إحدى مؤسسات المعونة القانونية طلباً لتلك المعونة.

The People’s Court shall, within three days of concluding the examination of a case of public prosecution, inform the defendant that he has the right to entrust an advocate as well as that he may, in the case of any economic difficulties, apply to a legal aid institution for legal aid.

El Tribunal Popular, antes de transcurridos tres días desde la conclusión del examen de una causa pública, deberá informar al acusado de que tiene derecho a recurrir a un abogado y de que, si tiene dificultades económicas, puede solicitar ayuda letrada a una institución pertinente.

人民法院对提起公诉的案件自审查完毕之日起3日内,除被告人是盲、聋、哑而没有委托辩护人的,应当指定承担法律援助义务的律师为其辩护以外,对于其他残疾被告人,在告知被告人有权委托辩护人的同时,应当告知其如果经济困难,可以向法律援助机构申请法律援助。
