본 발명에 따르면, 점탄성매체 내에 가상적으로 존재하는 다수의 초점으로 각각 집속되는 초음파신호들이 다수의 초점 각각을 파원으로 하는 횡탄성파들을 발생시키고, 발생된 횡탄성파들의 피크지점들이 서로 중첩되는 중첩지점들이 서로 평행하거나 예각을 이루는 두 개의 선분 상에 위치되면서 병진하도록 하여 점탄성매체의 탄성 변형률을 적정한 수준에서 높이는 것을 용이하게 함으로써 점탄성매체 내의 보다 정확한 이미지를 획득할 수 있도록 하는 기술이 개시된다.
