وفي نفس اليوم، أقلعت طائرة عسكرية تركية من طراز AB-205 من مطار كريني غير الشرعي، منتهكة بذلك القواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص، وحلّقت فوق منطقة مورفو، قبل العودة إلى نفس المطار.
