The organic light-emitting element is an organic EL element that has a light-emitting layer between a cathode and an anode laminated on a substrate, and that includes as host materials the organic light-emitting material, which is contained in the light-emitting layer, and an organic compound having higher excitation triplet energy than the organic light-emitting material.
