وترحب اللجنة بإنشاء الدولة الطرف، في عام 2001، مكتب المستشار القانوني الذي يضطلع بمهام أمين المظالم وينفذ ولاية تشمل الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، كما ترحب بما يبذل من جهود لتيسير إمكانية الوصول إلى هذه المؤسسة من خلال فتح عدد من المكاتب الإقليمية.

The Committee welcomes the establishment in 2001 of the Office of the Legal Chancellor, who fulfils the functions of an Ombudsman and whose mandate includes economic, social and cultural rights, and the efforts to make this institution easily accessible through the creation of a number of regional offices.
