Der eine Satztyp, mit welchem das Stück auch beginnt, ist von der Satzanlage her als Konzertetüde für zwei Klaviere mit Ensemblebegleitung konzipiert, wobei es stets kompositorische Aufgabe war, Klaviersätze zu entwickeln, welche das Tonmaterial möglichst vielseitig zu nutzen vermögen. (Das zweite Klavier wird ein Sechstelton tiefer gestimmt als das erste).
