وبين أحد الممثلين الأضرار الزراعية والاقتصادية الجسيمة الناشئة عن الطيور المهاجرة الآكلة للحبوب، وقال إن بلده لن يعترض على إدراج مستحضرات الفنيثيون إلاّ أنه دعا الى تقديم مساعدات تقنية ومالية كافية لمعاونة الأطراف من البلدان النامية على التعامل مع التكاليف الاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي قد تواجهها نتيجة لذلك، ووضع بدائل آمنة وفعالة لمستحضرات الفنثيون.

One representative, outlining the significant agricultural and economic harm caused by migratory granivorous birds, said that his country would not oppose the listing of fenthion formulations but called for adequate technical and financial assistance to help developing country parties cope with the socio‐economic costs that they might face as a consequence and to develop safe and effective alternatives to fenthion formulations.

Un representante, luego de señalar los importantes perjuicios que las aves granívoras causaban a la agricultura y la economía, dijo que su país no se opondría a la inclusión de las formulaciones de fentión en la lista y exhortó a que se prestara suficiente asistencia técnica y financiera para ayudar en las Partes que son países en desarrollo con los costes socioeconómicos que estas podrían afrontar como consecuencia de ello así como para desarrollar alternativas seguras y eficaces a las formulaciones de fentión.

Un représentant, décrivant à grands traits les importants dégâts agricoles et économiques causés par les oiseaux granivores migrateurs, a dit que son pays ne s’opposerait pas à l’inscription des préparations de fenthion mais demandait qu’une assistance technique et financière adéquate soit fournie pour aider les pays en développement parties à faire face aux coûts socio-économiques qui pourraient en résulter et à mettre au point des solutions de remplacement sûres et efficaces de cette substance.

Один представитель, указав на значительный ущерб, наносимый сельскому хозяйству и экономике перелетными птицами, питающимися зерном, заявил, что его страна не будет возражать против включения составов фентиона, но при этом призвал к оказанию Сторонам, являющимся развивающимися странами, надлежащей технической и финансовой помощи, которая поможет им покрыть социально‐экономические издержки, с которыми они могут столкнуться вследствие этого, и разработать безопасные и эффективные альтернативы составам фентиона.
