The invention relates to a cardiopulmonary resuscitation apparatus comprising: sternal compression means having a piston for compressing the sternum; and thoracic constriction means having a chest band for fastening and constricting the chest when the compression means compresses a patient's chest, the apparatus further comprising length adjusting means for adjusting the length of the chest band according to the size of the patient's chest, the thoracic constricting means further comprising a protection pad to be attached to the chest when the chest band is tightened, thereby easily adjusting the length of the chest band according to the size of the patient's chest and protecting the patient's chest when it is compressed.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de réanimation cardio-respiratoire comprenant : un moyen de compression du sternum qui comporte un piston pour comprimer le sternum ; et un moyen de constriction thoracique comportant une bande thoracique pour maintenir et serrer le thorax lorsque le moyen de compression comprime le thorax d'un patient. Le dispositif comprend de plus un moyen de réglage pour régler la longueur de la bande thoracique selon la taille du thorax du patient ; le moyen de constriction thoracique comporte aussi un coussinet de protection se fixant au thorax lors du serrage de la bande thoracique, qui permet un réglage facile de la longueur de la bande thoracique selon la taille du thorax du patient et protège ce dernier pendant la compression.
