ونرى أن الحكم له أهمية كبرى للعلاقات السلمية فيما بين الدول في غرب أفريقيا من خلال ترسيم الحدود في المناطق المحيطة ببحيرة تشاد، وشبه جزيرة باكاسي، والحدود البرية بين بحيرة تشاد وشبه الجزيرة، والحدود البحرية بين البلدين.

We believe that the ruling is of great importance for peaceful relations between States in West Africa by delimiting borders in the areas around Lake Chad, the Bakassi Peninsula, the land border between Lake Chad and the Peninsula and the maritime border between the two countries.
