وفي الوثيقة الختامية للجنة الأمن والتعاون في أوروبا لعام 1975، اعترفت الدول المشاركة بأنها ستعتبر حدود كل منها ذات حرمة، وكذلك حدود جميع الدول في أوروبا، وبالتالي تمتنع الآن وفي المستقبل عن الاعتداء على تلك الحدود.

In the Final Act of Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe of 1975, the participating States recognized that they will regard as inviolable all one another’s frontiers as well as the frontiers of all States in Europe and therefore they will refrain now and in the future from assaulting these frontiers.
