إن الأفعـــــال التي ارتكبتها اليــــــوم قوات الأمن الإسرائيلية تعيد بشدة إلى الأذهان ما فعلته تلك القوات في 8 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1990 عندما اقتحمت الحرم الشريف وقتلت 20 مدنيا وأصابت أكثر من 150 شخصا غيرهم.
