Although there is no organizational connection, the lineage of antifa in America can be traced to Weimar Germany, where the first group described as "antifa" was Antifaschistische Aktion, formed in 1932 with the involvement of the Communist Party of Germany.

گرچه هیچ ارتباطِ سازمانی بین اعضای انتیفا وجود ندارد، پیشینهٔ فعالیت انتیفا در آمریکا میتواند به جمهوری وایمارِ آلمان برسد که در آن نخستین گروهی که به نام انتیفا شناخته میشد، Antifaschistische Aktion نام داشت که در سال ۱۹۳۲ با مشارکت حزب کمونیست آلمان شکل گرفته بود.
