ونظرا لهذا الالتزام الثابت ببيئتنا وبالعالم الطبيعي، فإن نيكاراغوا تمارس حقها، الذي أكدته محكمة العدل الدولية في 13 حزيران/يونيه 2009، في تنظيف نهر سان خوان وتطهير مجراه بحيث يتسنى لجميع أبناء نيكاراغوا وأمريكا الوسطى الاستمتاع به.

Given this unwavering commitment to our environment and the natural world, Nicaragua is exercising its right, affirmed by the International Court of Justice on 13 June 2009, to clean and dredge the San Juan River so that it can be enjoyed by all Nicaraguans and Central Americans.
