واستنادا إلى التقرير الذي وضعته اللجنة الاقتصادية لأمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي/البرنامج الإنمائي، فإنه رغم إصابة البنية التحتية للخدمات المالية بأضرار شديدة بسبب إعصار إيفان، وعدم تمكن قطاع الخدمات المالية من العمل خارج جزر كايمان بسبب انقطاع الاتصالات، تمكن القطاع من تقديم خدمات مستمرة بوضع الموظفين في الخارج بطريقة فعالة وفورية

According to the ECLAC/UNDP report, although the financial services infrastructure was badly damaged by Hurricane Ivan and the sector could not operate out of the Cayman Islands while communications were down, the sector was able to provide uninterrupted services by placing staff abroad in an efficient and immediate manner

Según el informe de la CEPAL y el PNUD, pese a que la infraestructura de servicios financieros quedó en muy mal estado tras el paso del huracán Ivan y a que las actividades del sector desde las Islas Caimán quedaron suspendidas debido al corte de las comunicaciones, el sector pudo prestar servicios ininterrumpidamente colocando personal en el exterior de manera eficiente e inmediata
