Der Videofilm zeigt die folgenden operativen Schritte etappenweise: Lösung des Symblepharons und Präparation der Mundschleimhaut, welche 4 Monate zuvor transplantiert wurde, Kapsulotomie, extrakapsuläre Kataraktextraktion und Implantation einer Hinterkammerlinse, Trepanation der Kornea, epikorneale Befestigung der nach Cardona modifizierten Keratoprothese mit einer lyophilisierten Fremdsklera, anschließend Schleimhautplastik.

The film shows the following surgical steps: detachment of the symblepharon and preparation of the mouth mucosa which was transplanted 4 months previously, capsulotomy, extracapsular cataract extraction and PC IOL implantation, trephination of the cornea, epicorneal attachment of the modified keratoprosthesis according to Cardona using a lyophilized sclera transplant and finally plastics of the conjunctiva.
