وبخصوص جهود الاستعراض التي يبذلها بلده لنشر محتويات البروتوكول الثاني المعدل بين القوات المسلحة والسكان المدنيين وامتثالها للالتزامات الخاصة بالإبلاغ ورفع التقارير بموجب البروتوكول واتفاقية أوتاوا معاً، فقد أبلغ المؤتمر بأنه لا توجد هناك أي ألغام في أراضي الأرجنتين وأن المحادثات تجري بين الأرجنتين والمملكة المتحدة بشأن جدوى التخلص من الألغام التي وضعت في جزر فوكلاند (مالافيناس) أثناء النـزاع المسلح في 1982.

Reviewing efforts by his country to publicize the contents of Amended Protocol II among the armed forces and civilian population and its compliance with its reporting obligations under both the Protocol and the Ottawa Convention, he informed the Conference that there were no mines placed on the continental territory of Argentina and that talks were under way between Argentina and the United Kingdom on the feasibility of clearing mines laid in the Falkland Islands (Malvinas) during the 1982 armed conflict.

Después de pasar revista a los esfuerzos realizados por su país para dar a conocer a las fuerzas armadas y a la población civil el contenido del Protocolo II enmendado y el cumplimiento por la Argentina de las obligaciones que en materia de presentación de informes asumió en virtud del Protocolo y de la Convención de Ottawa, el orador informa a la Conferencia que en el territorio continental de la Argentina no hay minas plantadas y que la Argentina y el Reino Unido están celebrando conversaciones acerca de la viabilidad de remover las minas sembradas en las islas Malvinas (Falkland) durante el conflicto armado de 1982.

Разбирая усилия своей страны по пропаганде содержания пересмотренного Протокола II среди вооруженных сил и гражданского населения и по соблюдению ею своих обязательств в плане отчетности и по пересмотренному Протоколу II, и по Оттавской конвенции, он информирует Конференцию, что на континентальной территории Аргентины нет установленных мин и между Аргентиной и Соединенным Королевством идут переговоры об осуществимости обезвреживания мин, установленных на Фольклендских (Мальвинских) островах в ходе вооруженного конфликта 1982 года.
