Na čištění samotného ramínka lze naplnit kelímek čisticím přípravkem, ponořit do něj ramínko i perlátor a ručníkem vše ovázat tak, aby ramínko zůstalo ponořené. Necháme působit přípravek až jednu hodinu. Většina vodního kamene by se měla rozpustit.
