The Finnish Members of the European Parliament were unanimous on this point. However, I should like to repeat once again that the northern gas network is not only an important project for the Finns but is important for the protection of gas supplies throughout the whole of the trans-European energy networks.

Daar het gaat om een project dat niet alleen voor Finland maar ook in de globale context van de transeuropese energienetwerken en voor de gasvoorziening van de hele Unie van belang is, verzoek ik de vergadering nogmaals om - samen met de Finse Parlementsleden van alle fracties - dit voorstel te steunen.
