منذ عام 1993، تتم المساعدة المقدمة من برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي إلى ميانمار ضمن إطار مبادرة التنمية البشرية، عملا بالمبادئ التوجيهية المنصوص عليها في مقرر مجلس الإدارة 93/21 وفي مقرري المجلس التنفيذي 96/1 و 98/14.

Since 1993, UNDP assistance to Myanmar has been carried out within the framework of the Human Development Initiative (HDI), in compliance with the guidelines established in Governing Council decision 93/21, and in Executive Board decisions 96/1 and 98/14.

El Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD) viene prestando asistencia a Myanmar desde 1993 mediante los programas comprendidos en la Iniciativa para el Desarrollo Humano, en cumplimiento de las directrices enunciadas en la decisión 93/21 del Consejo de Administración y las decisiones de la Junta Ejecutiva 96/1 y 98/14.
