It was the first ‘bathing station’ in the Landes and was created at the end of the 19th century. Mimizan les Bains (its name at the time) was popular and attracted many famous people who spent time there including, amongst others, Winston Churchill, Coco Chanel, Salvador Dali and Charlie Chaplin.
