وعُقدت حلقة العمل بالتعاون مع حكومة فيجي وشعبة علوم الأرض التطبيقية والتكنولوجيا في الأمانة العامة لجماعة المحيط الهادئ، وركزت على تحديد الاحتياجات اللازمة للإدارة البيئية من أجل استكشاف واستغلال المعادن في أعماق البحار.

The workshop was held in collaboration with the Government of Fiji and the Applied Geoscience and Technology Division of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community and was focused on identification of the environmental management needs for exploration and exploitation of deep-sea minerals.
