The invention relates to a profile seal (1) having a trim strip (2) for a vehicle, comprising a clamping section (3) for fastening the profile seal (1) to a vehicle component (6), at least one sealing section (4a) and (4b) for sealing contacting to at least one corresponding vehicle component (7a) and (7b), and one holding section (5) for form-fitted receiving of the trim strip (2), wherein the holding section (5) comprises at least one harder partial section (8) along the longitudinal extension thereof and wherein the partial section is designed as an insert (8) that consists of a harder material than the rest of the holding section (5).
