Reports are received by Indian Missions/Posts in the Emigration Check Required (ECR) countries, about Indian workers, being denied appropriate living and working conditions and denial of legitimate labour rights and benefits as also long working hours, refusal to grant exit/re–entry permits for visit to India, refusal to allow the worker on final exit visa after completion of their contracts and non-provision of medical and insurance facilities, incidents of confinement etc.

उत्प्रमवासन जांच अपेक्षित (ईसीआर) देशों में भारतीय मिशनों/ केन्द्रों के पास भारतीय कामगारों को रहन-सहन और काम करने की समुचित परिस्थिसतियां उपलब्धम नहीं कराए जाने तथा वैध श्रम अधिकारों और लाभों से इंकार करने एवं लंबे समय तक काम, भारत की यात्रा हेतु निकासी/ पुन: प्रवेश परमिट प्रदान न करने, संविदा समाप्तर होने के बाद अंतिम निकासी वीजा की अनुमति देने से इंकार करने और चिकित्साप एवं बीमा सुविधाओं का प्रावधान न करने, कैद में रखने जैसी घटनाएं आदि से जुड़ी रिपोर्टे प्राप्तश हुई हैं।
