Aptitude tests taken at the recruiting centre were interpreted to suggest that "vehicle technician" (mechanic) was the appropriate trade for him; he was content with the prospect of learning that trade. On May 11, 1983, a "Report of Physical Examination (for enrol- ment)" was filled in and signed by Mr. Ede, and apparently com- pleted by Dr. J.R. Brook of St. Catharines.

Les résultats des tests d'aptitudes qu'il avait passés au centre de recrutement ont indiqué que le métier de "technicien de véhicules" (mécanicien) était l'emploi qui lui convenait; il était heureux à l'idée d'apprendre ce métier. Le 11 mai 1983, M. Ede a rempli et signé un "Rapport d'examen médical en vue de l'enrôlement", rapport qu'a apparemment achevé de remplir le 4 Dr J.R. Brook de St. Catharines.
