كفلت المادة 16 من الدستور الأردني للأردنيين حق الاجتماع ضمن حدود القانون وحق تأليف الجمعيات الأحزاب السياسية على أن تكون غايتها مشروعة ووسائلها سلمية وذات نظم لا تخالف أحكام الدستور وبينت أن القانون ينظم طريقة تأليف الجمعيات الأحزاب السياسية ومراقبة مواردها.

Article 16 of the Jordanian Constitution establishes the right of Jordanians to freedom of assembly within the limits set by law and the right to establish societies and political parties, provided that the object of such societies and parties is lawful, their methods peaceful, and their regulations are not contrary to the Constitution.

El artículo 16 de la Constitución de Jordania garantiza a los jordanos el derecho de reunión dentro de los límites que marca la ley, así como el derecho a constituir asociaciones y partidos políticos, siempre que su fin sea legítimo y sus medios pacíficos, y que sus estatutos no sean contrarios a las disposiciones de la Constitución.
