At the ceremonial opening, during the 2nd plenary meeting, on 20 June, statements were made by the President of the Conference, Dilma Rousseff; the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon; the President of the sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly, Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser; and the Secretary-General of the Conference, Sha Zukang.
