وأضاف أن جمهورية كوريا، التي كانت قد سدّدت جميع اشتراكاتها المقررة للميزانية العادية وعمليات حفظ السلام والمحكمتين الدوليتين والمخطط العام لتجديد مباني المقر التي كانت مستحقة وواجبة السداد في 16 أيار/مايو 2007، تدرك أبعاد مهمة إعادة المركز المالي للأمم المتحدة إلى نصابه، وستواصل القيام بدورها في كفالة تمتع المنظمة بالصحة المالية والاستدامة الكاملة.

Having paid all its assessed contributions for the regular budget, peacekeeping operations, the international tribunals and the capital master plan that had been due and payable on 16 May 2007, the Republic of Korea was mindful of the task of regularizing the financial situation of the United Nations, and would continue to play its part in making the Organization financially healthy and fully sustainable.

Habiendo pagado la totalidad de sus cuotas para el presupuesto ordinario, las operaciones de mantenimiento de la paz, los tribunales internacionales y el plan maestro de mejoras de infraestructura que se vencían el 16 de mayo de 2007, la República de Corea es consciente de que hay que regularizar la situación financiera de las Naciones Unidas y seguirá haciendo su parte en cuanto al logro de la solvencia financiera y la plena sostenibilidad de la Organización.
