وفي الوقت الذي واجه العرب في الماضي الانتقادات لعدم تقدمهم برؤية عربية لحل الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي، فقد فوجئوا عند تقديم مبادرتهم للسلام بالتجاهل الإسرائيلي والدولي لها وإغفالها رغم كل ما فيها من عناصر تضمن تحقيق الحل الشامل والعادل لكل أطراف الصراع.

While the Arabs in the past have been criticized for not providing an Arab vision to put an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict, they were indeed surprised that, when they presented their own Arab Peace Initiative, it was totally ignored by Israel and the international community, in spite of all the elements that would secure a comprehensive and just solution to the conflict.

Si bien en el pasado se ha criticado a los árabes por no ofrecer una visión propia para poner fin al conflicto entre árabes e israelíes, cuando aquellos presentaron su propia Iniciativa de Paz Árabe se sorprendieron de que Israel y la comunidad internacional la ignoraran totalmente a pesar de que tiene todos los elementos necesario para garantizar una solución amplia, justa y duradera al conflicto.

Si par le passé les Arabes ont été critiqués parce qu’ils n’ont pas dit ce qu’ils préconisaient pour mettre fin au conflit israélo-palestinien, ils ont été surpris qu’Israël et la communauté internationale n’aient fait aucun cas de l’Initiative de paix arabe, et ce malgré tous les éléments qui auraient conduit à une solution complète, juste et durable au conflit.
