في قرارها # المؤرخ # تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر # ، سلمت الجمعية العامة، في جملة أمور، بأن الأهداف والمقاصد التي تسعى إلى تحقيقها الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا تتفق مع المبادئ والمثل التي يجسّدها ميثاق الأمم المتحدة؛ وطلبت إلى الأمين العام أن يتخذ الخطوات المناسبة الهادفة إلى إقامة التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا؛ ورحبت بالدعم الذي يقدمه الأمين العام للدول الأعضاء في الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا من أجل تدعيم تدابير بناء الثقة على المستوى دون الإقليمي وتعزيز حقوق الإنسان، وسيادة القانون والمؤسسات الديمقراطية، وفي تنفيذ برنامج عمل اللجنة الاستشارية الدائمة التابعة للأمم المتحدة والمعنية بمسائل الأمن في وسط أفريقيا

In its resolution # of # ovember # the General Assembly, inter alia, recognized that the purposes and objectives of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) are in conformity with the principles and ideals embodied in the Charter of the United Nations; requested the Secretary-General to take the appropriate steps to establish cooperation between the United Nations and ECCAS; and welcomed the support provided by the Secretary-General to the States members of ECCAS in strengthening confidence-building measures at the subregional level and promoting human rights, the rule of law and democratic institutions, in implementation of the programme of work of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa

La Asamblea General, en su resolución # de # de noviembre de # entre otras cosas, reconoció que los objetivos y las metas que perseguía la Comunidad Económica de los Estados del África Central (CEEAC) eran compatibles con los principios y los ideales enunciados en la Carta de las Naciones Unidas; pidió al Secretario General que adoptara medidas adecuadas con el objeto de establecer la cooperación entre las Naciones Unidas y la CEEAC; celebró el apoyo que prestaba el Secretario General a los Estados miembros de la CEEAC para fortalecer las medidas de fomento de la confianza a nivel subregional y promover los derechos humanos, el estado de derecho y las instituciones democráticas, en aplicación del programa de trabajo del Comité Consultivo Permanente de las Naciones Unidas encargado de las cuestiones de seguridad en el África central
