The Committee welcomes the information provided by the State party on legislative and other measures aimed at contributing to the protection of mothers, infants and school‐age children, such as the joint programme of the Ministry of Health and UNICEF, or the establishment of an Inter-Ministerial Commission for HIV/AIDS in 2000.

Le Comité accueille avec satisfaction les informations communiquées par l’État partie sur les mesures législatives et autres visant à contribuer à la protection des mères, des enfants en bas âge, et des enfants d’âge scolaire, notamment la mise en place d’un programme commun du Ministère de la santé et de l’UNICEF et la création en 2000 d’une commission interministérielle pour la lutte contre le VIH/sida.
