وفقا للولاية التي أنيطت باللجنة الإحصائية للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الثانية والثلاثين لكي تقوم بتحديث وتنقيح دليل إحصاءات التجارة الدولية في الخدمات لعام 2002، يورد هذا التقرير وصفا موجزا لعملية التنقيح التي اضطلعت بها فرقة العمل المشتركة بين الوكالات المعنية بإحصاءات التجارة الدولية في الخدمات، ويلخّص طريقة تنظيم أعمال فرقة العمل، ويبيّن الخصائص الجديدة التي يشملها الدليل المنقح، وصلته بباقي الأطر الإحصائية ذات الصلة واتساقه معها، وعملية المشاورة العالمية، وأخيرا برنامج التنفيذ المقترح والأعمال المقبلة.

In accordance with the mandate conferred by the Statistical Commission at its thirty-second session to update and revise the 2002 Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services, the present report briefly describes the revision process carried out by the inter-agency Task Force on Statistics of International Trade in Services, summarizes the organization of the work of the Task Force and presents the new features of the revised manual, its relation to and alignment with other relevant statistical frameworks, the worldwide consultation process and, lastly, the proposed implementation programme and future work.

根据统计委员会第三十二届会议赋予的关于更新和修订2002年《国际服务贸易统计手册》的任务授权,本报告扼要说明机构间国际服务统计工作队开展的修订工作过程,概述工作队的工作安排、陈述修订后手册的新特点、手册与其他相关统计框架的关系和整合、全球范围的协商进程,最后说明拟定的执行方案和今后的工作。
