As regards the sanctions imposed on EU companies by the US for engaging with the Central Bank of Iran, the Commission draws the attention of the Honourable Members to the Council’s decision, on 23 January 2012, to freeze the assets of the Central Bank of Iran, in consideration of its involvement in activities which circumvent the sanctions.

Wat betreft de sancties die de VS heeft opgelegd aan ondernemingen uit de EU die zaken doen met de Centrale Bank van Iran, vestigt de Commissie de aandacht van de geachte Parlementsleden op het besluit van de Raad van 23 januari 2012 om de tegoeden van de Centrale Bank van Iran te bevriezen, met het oog op haar betrokkenheid bij activiteiten waarbij sancties worden omzeild.
