وفي معرض إشارته إلى تقرير الأمين العام عن ميزانية قوة الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام في قبرص للفترة من 1 تموز/ يوليه 2001 إلى 30 حزيران/ يونيه 2002 (A/55/788)، قال إنه يرغب في تذكير الأمانة العامة بالحاجة إلى استخدام اللغة الصحيحة لدى الإشارة إلى الولاية السياسية للبعثة كي لا تخرج اللغة عن المعايير الثابتة التي وضعها مجلس الأمن بشأن قضية قبرص.

With reference to the report of the Secretary-General on the budget of UNFICYP for the period from 1 July 2001 to 30 June 2002 (A/55/788), he wished to remind the Secretariat of the need to use the proper language when referring to the political mandate of the Mission so that the language did not deviate from the parameters set by the Security Council on the question of Cyprus.

En cuanto al informe del Secretario General sobre el presupuesto de la UNFICYP para el período comprendido entre el 1o de julio de 2001 y el 30 de junio de 2002 (A/55/788), el orador desea recordar a la Secretaría la necesidad de emplear los términos apropiados cuando se refiera al mandato político de la Misión de modo que no se aparten de los parámetros establecidos por el Consejo de Seguridad respecto de la cuestión de Chipre.

Что касается доклада Генерального секретаря о бюджете ВСООНК на период с 1 июля 2001 года по 30 июня 2002 года (А/55/788), то оратор хотел бы напомнить Секретариату о необходимости употреблять правильные формулировки при ссылках на политический мандат Миссии, с тем чтобы формулировки не отклонялись от параметров, установленных Советом Безопасности по кипрскому вопросу.
