تقرر اللجنة بعد تلقيها تقرير الأمين العام، مستندة إلى الأدلة الموفرة لها، وآخذة في الاعتبار التدابير التي سبق اتخذها المتعاقد، التدابير الضرورية للاستجابة بفعالية إزاء الحادث بغية منع الضرر الجسيم واحتوائه وتخفيفه إلى أقصى حد ممكن، وتقدم توصياتها إلى المجلس.

After having received the report of the Secretary-General, the Commission shall determine, based on the evidence provided to it and taking into account the measures already taken by the contractor, which measures are necessary to respond effectively to the incident in order to prevent, contain and minimize the serious harm, and shall make its recommendations to the Council.

Después de haber recibido el informe del Secretario General, la Comisión determinará, sobre la base de las pruebas presentadas y teniendo en cuenta las medidas que haya tomado el Contratista, qué otras medidas son necesarias para hacer frente efectivamente al incidente con vistas a prevenir, contener y reducir al mínimo los daños graves, y formulará recomendaciones al Consejo.
