The Secretary-General, in his report to the Security Council dated 7 March 2006 (A/60/712-S/2006/145), indicated that the political transition provided for under the Bonn Agreement had been completed with the elections for and inauguration (on 19 December 2005) of the National Assembly of Afghanistan.
