وفي شباط/فبراير 1998، قام مكتب التعليم العام التابع لقوة الشرطة الوطنية، والحركة الدولية للدفاع عن الأطفال ومؤسسة رادا برنان السويدية، بالتعاون مع المعهد الوطني للطفل والأسرة ومع اليونيسيف، بتنفيذ برنامج لتدريب قوات الشرطة الوطنية الإكوادورية على الجوانب والحقوق والتشريعات الاجتماعية المتصلة بأطفال البلد ومراهقيه.

In February 1998, the General Education Bureau of the National Police Force, DNI-Ecuador and Räda Barnen of Sweden, in conjunction with the National Institute for Children and the Family (INNFA) and UNICEF, ran a training programme for the Ecuadorian National Police Force on social aspects, rights and legislation pertaining to the country’s children and adolescents.
