The road luge (40) has a reclining body rest (50) supported on the frame (42), so that a rider may recline on the body rest (50) with the rider's torso in a substantially horizontal position, and with the rider's feet extending toward the front end (44) of the frame (42), and the rider's head angled upwardly so as to permit vision toward the front end (44) of the frame (42).
