The Consortium was a winning choice that has made the product known all over the world and made it possible to obtain, in 2001, the European Collective Mark that certifies the authenticity, origin, geological characteristics, petrographic composition, and physical and mechanical properties of Pietra Piasentina. In 2004 the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia gave official recognition to the Pietra Piasentina Production District.

C'est ce choix gagnant qui a permis de faire connaître ce produit dans le monde entier et d'obtenir, en l'an 2001, la Marque communautaire collective qui en reconnaît l'authenticité, la provenance, les caractéristiques géologiques, la structure pétrographique et les propriétés physico-mécaniques, puis en 2004, la reconnaissance par la région Frioul-Vénétie-Julienne comme bassin artisanal de la Pietra Piasentina.
