Im vorliegenden Artikel werden die Ergebnisse einer narrativ-systematischen Literaturrecherche (Stand: 7/2010) über die wichtigste Ziel- und Konsumentengruppe der nächsten Jahrzehnte vorgestellt. Ziel war es, den Stand der wirtschaftsgerontologischen Forschung zum demografischen Wandel aufzuzeigen, Konsequenzen für das Seniorenmarketing abzuleiten sowie Hinweise für künftige Forschungsaufgaben zu erhalten.

This article presents the results of a narrative-systematic review of published literature (7/2010) on the most important target and consumer groups of the next decade with the aim of pointing out the status of gerontological research in the commercial industry, the demographic trends, and to deduce consequences for senior citizen marketing and so obtain pointers for future research.
