فقد أنشئت دار الطفولة سنة 1961 المخصصة لإيواء ورعاية الأطفال من سن يوم إلى عشرة سنوات للذكور ومن سن يوم إلى 14 سنة للإناث الذين حرموا من التنشئة الطبيعية من فئة مجهولي الوالدين والأطفال ذوي الأسر المتصدعة وهي الأسرة التي تعاني من فقدان أو وفاة أو سجن أو مرض أحد الوالدين أو كلاهما أو وجود نزاع بينهما.

A children’s home was established in 1961 to house and look after boys from the ages of 1 day to 10 years and girls from the ages of 1 day to 14 years who are denied a natural upbringing because their parentage is unknown or they come from a broken home - a broken home being one that is affected by the loss, death, imprisonment or illness of one or both parents or by conflict between the parents.

En 1961 se creó el Hogar de la Infancia, que da refugio y protección a los niños con edades comprendidas entre 1 día y 10 años, en el caso de los niños, y entre 1 día y 14 años para las niñas, que han sido privados de una crianza natural y que pertenecen a alguno de los siguientes grupos: niños de padres desconocidos, hijos de familias desestructuradas debido a la ausencia, fallecimiento, encarcelamiento o enfermedad de alguno de los progenitores o de ambos, o a las disputas conyugales.
