Системите VTS/VTMIS (системи на службите по корабния трафик / системи за информация и управление на корабния трафик), използващи информация от АСИ (автоматична система за идентификация), заедно със системата LRIT (система за идентифициране и проследяване на кораби на голямо разстояние), са основни елементи от бъдещата електронна среда за морския транспорт на стоки и за корабоплаването.
