Studies that have developed are located within the history of Latin America of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, specifically in the processes of national formation, journalistic, scientific, economic and social activities in Puerto Rico and Mexico, which have led to production and scientific links with national and international level (Mexican Association of Caribbean Studies, AMEC, Network Historians of the press and journalism in Latin America, the Association of Caribbean Economic History, AHEC and the Research Group "Comparative Studies Caribbean and the Atlantic World ").
