The representatives expressed their recognition of the excellent support given by the Government of Brazil to host the Regional Preparatory Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean States, which allowed the region to present its contribution to the success of the 2001 United Nations Conference on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects.
