Právě v těchto pískovcích se vyskytuje tzv. zvodeň – zvodnělá vrstva, která byla využita jako jímací místo vody při stavbě vodovodu pro Pražský hrad v době vlády Rudolfa II.

These sandstones are home to the so-called aquifer – water horizon used as a water reservoir during the construction of the Prague Castle water conduit during the reign of Rudolph II. The overburden contains typical sea sediments of Korycany layers.
